Independence day/يوم استقلال باكستان

Assalamoalaikum, and a happy independence day. Alhumdulillah, Throughout my journey of learning Arabic, I have been getting opportunities to prepare some short writeups in Arabic. The following writeup, that you may read ahead, holds a special place in my heart and I have been waiting for independence day to post this. However, before you expect anything big, I shall tell you that this is an extremely short writeup and has got more to do with my enthusiasm to write something in Arabic rather than creating a fine piece. Putting it out on record is my attempt to save it here and share something unique with my readers. 

اِسْتَقَلَّ باكِستان و ظَهَرَ على خَرِيْطَةِ العَالَمِ في أربعَةَ عَشَرَ أغسطُسْ سَنَةَ ألفٍ و تِسْعِ مِائَةٍ و سَبْعٍ و أربَعِين

قبلَ ذلك, كان باكستان و هند بَلَدًا واحِدًا, فبِسَبَبِ جُهُوْدِ عُلَمَاءِأهلِ السنةِ و مُؤِسِّسِ باكستان محمد علي جناح تَخَلَّصَ المسلمون مِنْ حُكُومَةِ الكُفّارِ و بَدَؤُوا يَعِيْشُوْنَ في بَلَدِهِم المُسْتَقِل

قبلَ التَأسِيْسِ, سَكَنَ مُتَابِعُوْا الأَديَانِ المُخْتَلِفَةِ في القارَّةِ الهِندِيّةِ و العيشُ مَعَهم كانَ صَعْبًا جِدًا للمُسلِمِين. كانوا يُواجِهُونَ الصُعُوباتِ العَدِيْدَةَ مَثَلاً الكُفّارُ كانوا يمَنَعُوُنهم من الأُضُحِيَةِ و يُبعدونهم عن فُرَصِ التطَوُّر و ماكانوا يُشَغِّلُونَهم في العَمَلِ 

الاِحْتِفَالُ بهذا اليومِ يُذَكِّرُنا بآبَائِنا و الناسِ الذِين اُستُشْهِدُوا لأجل حُرِّيَةِ باكستان و يذَكِّرُنا بثِبَاتِ المُسْلِمِيْنَ الذِينَ لم يَسَتَسْلِمُوا عنْدَ  المَوَاقِفِ البُطُولِيَّةِ حتىَ فازُوا ونالُوا أهدَافَهم

يَنبغِي لَنَا أن نَقضِيَ هذا اليَوْمَ بالأعمال الصالحة كالصلاةِ والصَومِ و قِراءةِالفاتحةِ لآبائنا الشهداءِ. و لا بُدَّ أن نَلْتَزِمَ بآدابِ الاِحتِفَالِ و نَتْرُكَ المَعاصِي و الأمورَ التي تُخالِفُ الشَرعَ كاسْتِعمَالِ المَزَامِيرِ و اسْتِمَاعِ المُوسِيقِي وعَلَيْنا أن نَشْكُرَ اللَّهَ تعالى على هذِه النِعمَةِ العَظِيمَةِ

    Pakistan became an independent state and appeared on the map of world on 14th of August,1947.

    Prior to independence, Pakistan and India were a single country. Thereafter, due to efforts of the scholars of Ahl-us-Sunnah wal jama'ah and the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Muslims were freed from the governance of non-muslims and started living in their independent country.

    Before the foundation of Pakistan, followers of different religion lived in the subcontinent. Life with them was extremely difficult for muslims. For example, the disbelievers used to forbid them from slaughtering animals,kept them distant from development opportunities, and did not offer them employment.

    Celebrating this day reminds us of our ancestors and people who were martyred for the freedom of Pakistan. It reminds us of the steadfastness of our ancestors who didn't surrender in the face of challenging situations until they succeeded and reached their goals.

    We should spend our day in good deeds like prayers, fasting and the recitation of Fatiha for our ancestors who were martyred. It is pertinent to abide by the manners of celebration and refrain from sins and things that are against the religion like the usage of flutes and pipes,and listening music. It is necessary upon us to be grateful to Allah on this huge blessing.

Why we need to be careful before we mention Quranic verses and Ahadith

  Assalamoalaikum readers. I have been reflecting about various events happening around me and have been working on quite a few write-ups-some of which require detailed research too. So I decided that I not hurry and give the write-ups their due time. Hence, the delay. However, there has been one thing, which I feel, demands a little urgency. Alhamdulillah, in most of our Islamic and tarbiyah-based gatherings, we discuss Quranic verses and ahadith. However, neither do we mention the Arabic of it, nor   do we, in most cases, adequately read the commentaries on verses and ahadith done by scholars in voluminous books.  This is where we are usually mistaken.
